What's in a name?

Hello, all!

The first twelve weeks of this pregnancy went by soooooo sloooow. Not any more! The weeks are flying by and I have a feeling this little boy will be here before we know it!

At about 16 and a half weeks, I began to feel little flutters of movement. Now, they are full kicks and nudges! We hit a huge milestone on Sunday night when Cy was able to feel him kicking with his hand on my belly. It was an awesome moment for the two of us and so reassuring to know that he is active. Is this a sign of what's to come? This little guy can move! Today was really exciting (and weird) when I realized that I could actually see my belly moving with some of his bigger kicks!

As for the belly...it popped. We take a picture each Sunday night to mark the change from week to week...see below for the transformation from week 5 to week 21:

OH.MY.GOSH.  So that's the last side by side comparison we'll be posting to the blog.

We, and by we I mean Cy, also accomplished some nursery work!  While we wait on some info for wainscoting, the closet organizer project was tackled.

And the finished product:

And on to his name...for those that don't know the history, our baby boy's first name was chosen long before Cy and I were even an item!  Cy's Grandfather is Lance Phillips (the original) and his Dad is Lance Casey Phillips (known by all as Casey).  Cy's full name is Lance Cypress Phillips and our little baby boy will follow in the LCP tradition...Lance C______ Phillips.  We've been stirring over "C" names online and in books for months and finally came across something we love.

Charlie.
